Bio:

There is no definitive beginning for this band. Adams was born on Long Island and starting playing the A&S department store brand acoustic that his father discarded. It had one string, but he knew what scales sounded like from playing clarinet and could figure some song melodies out of it. After all the initial years of playing alone and in a noise/comedy band with a friend, he got a gas station job after high school and tried to start his own band to play original songs. Adams produced a tape alone of demos. St. James, N.Y. only had Phish fans and metal heads. But he found two guys, met on line at the bank and said he'll teach them how to play. They banged around for a year or more, even playing 3 shows in one day. Adams moved to Philadelphia on Halloween 2000. Start over.

Lugging his bags from 30 th St. station to West Philly to crash with a women he met one week earlier (his wife now), Adams was still determined to start his band. He jammed with the embryonic Farewell to Treaties one time. Open mics, all that shit never came to anything except a few drinking buddies.

2004 was the second beginning when Zach Price answered a craigslist ad and they started jamming at a space on Delaware Ave. Zach's a nearly classically trained drummer who would rather just rock out. Many songs were already written so it wasn't that hard. mikingmihrab picked up a bass player just in time for the Clark Park Fest. The Low Budgets were the headliners that year. They blanged around town with mixed results. Not having a steady or cool bass player for two years was a trial.

Halloween 2006 Kevin Cooper was solicited successfully at a bar to join up. That is when the whole turned the corner and really started working. Kevin learned how to play bass while on a national tour with Spongegod. He has also played in Bobby Kork with Kermit Lyman Hell III, and The Rusty Nails on similar tours. Cooper had his abstract paintings hanging in the Wexler gallery in Old City at the time.

Three months later they finish an nine song album, ‘Welsh For Mutton Chops' (Father Devine) and played just about every venue in Philadelphia and tour from NYC to the Spazzatorium in Greenville, NC. When they got back they did a show at the Khyber supporting Alan McCabe's Bernie Bernie Headflap. Alan listened to WFMC and offered to handle digital distribution of the record.

Now:

‘Breaking News' was recorded on February 16th, 2008 at Plan B studios. It was officially released on July 6 th , 2008 at Marvelous Music with a live performance. The title single ‘Breaking News' has been played on WKDU & WPRB. It also made issue 62 of Jon Solomon's City Paper podcast (Local Support - http://www.citypaper.net/music/local-support/episode/062 ).

They're going to be playing on the road again for a week of DIY touring towards Atlanta after stopping at the Spazzatorium Galleria again. Come on out and listen!
